THE PUBLISHING WORLD CAN BE INSULAR AND FRUSTRATING. I’VE SEEN EDITORS PASS ON WHAT SHOULD HAVE BECOME CELEBRATED WRITING BECAUSE THE WRITER DID NOT FOLLOW A FEW UNSPOKEN RULES. AT TRUANT, I USE MY EXPERIENCE ON THE INSIDE TO GUIDE WRITERS ON THE OUTSIDE. I EDIT MANUSCRIPTS AND HELP CLIENTS NAVIGATE THE OFTEN OPAQUE NORMS BY WHICH THE INDUSTRY OPERATES AND WHICH DETERMINE WHETHER A PITCH, ESSAY, BOOK PROPOSAL, OR QUERY LETTER MAKES IT THROUGH THE DOOR.
